ANALYTICAL SOFTWARE FOR PROFESSIONALS

PS IMAGO Process

A constant access to up-to-date information facilitates decision making and speeds up actions and responses to changes while building a company’s competitive edge. Uninterrupted access to information that is up to date is the key to efficient operation of any business. It pertains not only to reproducible reports. It often happens in the case of ad-hoc reports that published documents differ in terms of presented data only. Until today, updating a report meant generating and exporting result objects in IBM SPSS Statistics from the scratch. Now, the new feature can perform the process of updating and publishing ad hoc and periodic (such as quarterly) reports completely automatically.

Task scheduling interface

The scheduling of repetitive tasks is achieved using a simple interface – PS IMAGO Process. This allows the user to define many tasks at the same time with the option of precisely determining the date and time an update should occur. Scheduling options include:

  • ad-hoc, or one-off,
  • hours, days of the week, months,
  • deferred commencement and completion dates.

Defining the scope of the update

Using PS IMAGO Process, the user may define the tasks that require updating; they may cover the entire report generating process (from data import to report publication); a part only, e.g., downloading new data and updating result objects only. To increase flexibility, the following elements may be defined independently:

  • SPSS commands (.sps command syntax),
  •  source output objects in the .spv format,
  • report model containing result items,
  • finished report,
  • exporting results to popular formats, such as PDF, HTML, etc.
  • report publishing process via the web

Monitoring the status of tasks

Thanks to the multi-stage nature of task updating in PS IMAGO Process, the user can determine the exact status of specific tasks. Displayed alongside each task is up-to-date information on processing status allowing for easy monitoring of even the most complex analytical report procedures.
